In a remarkable display of academic prowess, the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPSEB) in Dharamshala has declared the results of the Class 10 examinations today, with a commendable state-wide pass percentage of 74.61%. Notably, female students have outperformed their male counterparts, a trend that is consistent with the results of the Class 12 examinations.
This year, among the top 92 achievers, an impressive 72 are girls, underscoring a consistent pattern of academic excellence among female students in Himachal Pradesh. The representation of students from government schools is also significant, with 22 of the top scorers coming from public institutions, compared to 70 from private schools.
Topping the state is Riddhima Sharma from a government school in Nadoun, Hamirpur district, who secured an astonishing 99.86%. Close on her heels is Krutika Sharma from Newgal School in Bhawarna, Kangra, with 99.71%. The third position was jointly held by three students: Shivam Sharma, Adviti Tekta, and Rushil Sood.
The examinations saw a participation of 91,130 students, conducted from March 2 to March 21 at 2,258 centers across the state. The HPSEB has managed to announce the results 15 days earlier than usual, showcasing the board’s efficiency and determination to overcome logistical challenges.
Chairman HemRaj Bairwa emphasized the board’s commitment to timely results, which are now accessible via the official website. Additionally, students can retrieve their certificates through DigiLocker within 12 hours of the result announcement, further facilitating their educational journey.
