Sidhivinayaktimes Shimla। Panjab University organised a workshop titled “Unlock Your Happiness Potential” on February 9, 2026, led by noted academician Dr. Rajesh K. Pillania, focusing on the science of happiness and its role in personal and professional well-being. The session highlighted how happiness contributes to creativity, productivity and resilience, while offering practical strategies to manage stress and uncertainty in daily life. Dr. Pillania encouraged participants to accept the full range of human emotions and emphasised realistic preparation as a key coping mechanism. Drawing on research insights, he introduced tools such as the Cantril Ladder to help individuals assess life satisfaction and personal progress. He also explained the link between brain energy consumption and emotional well-being, underscoring that lasting change begins with small, consistent actions.
Stressing the importance of consciously managing Time, Energy and Attention (TEA), he urged participants to make mindful choices to enhance overall happiness. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants engaged actively and sought clarifications. Organised jointly by the Dean Alumni Relations, the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies and the Department of Education, the event was attended by faculty members, students, alumni and members of the public.
