Lahore: At least six members of a family were killed in an explosion in a house in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Thursday. Police gave this information. This incident took place in Kot Addu district of Punjab province. According to Pakistan’s daily newspaper Dawn Ki Khabar, Muzaffargarh District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Hasnain Haider said that all the deceased were members of one family, who used to sell junk.
At least six people were killed and two others injured in the blast, police said. The family was sorting the junk material when suddenly it exploded. A police spokesperson said that the dead include two women, two men and two children, one of whom is two years old.
Hyder said that an investigation is being conducted to find out the cause of the explosion. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed grief over the death of the people and sought a report on the incident.
