Sidhivinayak taimes Shimla। Panjab University’s Women’s Lawn Tennis Team delivered an outstanding performance by winning the silver medal at the All India Inter-University Championship held at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Displaying remarkable skill, coordination and competitive spirit throughout the tournament, the PU team advanced to the finals where they faced the host university in a closely contested match, eventually finishing with a narrow 2–1 scoreline in favour of MDU. The team comprised Sahira Singh, Mahika Khanna, Avni Sahraya and Radha Sadhra, whose consistent efforts and determination played a key role in the university’s successful campaign.
Congratulating the players on their achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig said that the team’s success reflects Panjab University’s strong commitment to promoting excellence in sports. Director of Sports Dr. Rakesh Malik also lauded the players and supporting staff, stating that the silver medal finish marks a significant return of tennis glory to the university after several years.
