Siddhivinayak Taimes Shimla। Professor Sanjay Munjal of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has been elected President of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA). He formally assumed office during the ISHA National Conference held in Ahmedabad, which brought together speech-language pathologists, audiologists, academicians, researchers, and students from across the country. The conference provided a platform for discussions on emerging clinical practices, research developments, and policy initiatives in the field of communication sciences and disorders. A senior clinician and academician, Professor Munjal has contributed extensively to audiology, hearing healthcare delivery, professional education, and advocacy.

At PGIMER, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening clinical services, postgraduate training, and interdisciplinary collaboration related to hearing and balance disorders. His leadership is expected to further enhance ISHA’s efforts in addressing the growing needs of individuals with communication and hearing disorders across India.
