Sidhivinayak time’s Shimla The Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (TCT), organized its 323rd Blood Donation Camp on 14 December 2025 at Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh, in coordination with Rehmat Foundation to commemorate the Shaheedi Jodmel. The camp was dedicated to supporting thalassaemia patients and other critically ill patients requiring regular blood transfusions. Special arrangements were made for donors, along with a dedicated desk to spread awareness about thalassaemia and the importance of voluntary blood donation.
Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, along with other eminent dignitaries, visited the camp and encouraged the voluntary blood donors by distributing gifts and badges. A total of 82 voluntary donors donated blood during the camp, reflecting strong community participation and social commitment. The successful conduct of the camp was ensured under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ratti Ram Sharma, Head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, and the supervision of Dr. Puneet Kaur, along with their dedicated team.

Prof. (Dr.) Ratti Ram Sharma and Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of the Thalassaemic Charitable Trust, emphasized the critical need for regular voluntary blood donation, particularly for thalassaemia patients who require transfusions every 15 to 20 days to sustain life. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to all blood donors, the Department of Transfusion Medicine team, and members of the Thalassaemic Charitable Trust for their unwavering support in making the camp a success.
