Sidhivinayaktimes Shimla। In a first-of-its-kind initiative at the National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER, B.Sc Nursing 3rd semester students showcased innovative educational videos on pharmacology on 17.02.2026. Developed as part of their project work under the guidance of Mrs. Mamta Suryavanshi, Subject Co-ordinator Pharmacology, and Dr. Mandeep Kaur, the videos were evaluated by faculty members Dr. Ruchi Saini and Dr. Amandeep Kaur. First-year B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic 1st-year students actively participated in the event, which aimed to enhance practical learning, foster creativity, and promote safe and rational use of medicines. The student-led presentations covered critical topics such as OTC drugs, drug compliance, anti-asthmatic medications, antibiotic sensitivity testing, patient rights, medication errors, antibiotic stewardship, and adverse drug reactions. Dr. Sukhpal Kaur, Principal of NINE, praised the initiative, emphasizing the role of innovative teaching methods in improving healthcare standards and ensuring patient safety.

The judges highlighted the overall quality of the presentations, with particular recognition for videos on Antibiotic Stewardship and Patient Safety, applauding their clarity, relevance, and impactful delivery. Mrs. Mamta Suryavanshi lauded the students’ enthusiasm and dedication, noting that these videos would serve as valuable learning resources for nursing students, faculty, and even patients. She expressed optimism that such initiatives would inspire continued excellence in awareness-driven healthcare education. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking an important step toward strengthening responsible medication practices and promoting public health awareness.
