Chandigarh, March 30, 2026: In a heartfelt ceremony held at PGIMER today, Dean (Academics) Prof. R. K. Ratho honoured 19 officers and officials on their superannuation, presenting them with mementos and delivering a moving tribute to their career milestones. These dedicated professionals, hailing from various departments including Engineering, Nursing, Dietetics, and Sanitation, retired after committing between 22 to 37 years of their lives to the prestigious institute.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials including Sh. Pankaj Rai (I.A.S), Deputy Director (Admin), Prof. Ashok Kumar, Additional Medical Superintendent, and Lt. Col. G. S. Bhatti, Superintending Hospital Engineer, alongside other department heads like Chief Nursing Officer Mrs. Jaspal Kaur and Chief Dietician Dr. Nancy Sahni. During the proceedings, Financial Advisor Sh. Ravinder Singh (IA&AS) distributed the official retirement financial payment letters to the retirees, ensuring a smooth transition into their next chapter.
Among those celebrated for their long-standing service were Hospital Engineer Sh. Sushil Kumar Masown, Dy. Nursing Superintendent Smt. Lakhvinder Kaur, and various Assistant Nursing Officers and technical staff who have been the backbone of the hospital’s operations for nearly four decades. The ceremony concluded with the administration expressing deep gratitude for the retirees’ collective contribution to PGIMER’s legacy of excellence in healthcare.
